How does grief appear in a photograph? In To the Lighthouse (1927), Virginia Woolf writes grief indirectly: as a shift in the experience of time, memory, and the surrounding world.

Invisible Words moves toward the threshold where language begins to dissolve and resonance becomes a mode of relation. The work departs from naming, verbal definition, and fixed systems of meaning.

Across its sections, the work shifts from the personal toward the collective, and toward increasingly immaterial forms of experience.
